LTL: Simplifying Complex Freight Rating
Unlock the full potential of the TMS
Overview
Less-than-Truckload (LTL) shipping is notoriously complex — multiple freight classes, density rules, carrier-specific logic, and high-volume quoting workflows often overwhelm users. I led the LTL initiative, a multi-phase effort to transform how shippers and ops teams request and manage rates.
My Role
Lead UX Designer driving end-to-end design for Quick Rate, Batch Rating, and Mixed Item Pallet.
Partnered with PMs, engineers, and carrier experts to translate backend rating logic into intuitive workflows.
Conducted usability testing to uncover pain points and refine designs.
Extended the Fleet design system with new components to support advanced LTL workflows.
