LTL: Simplifying Complex Freight Rating

Unlock the full potential of the TMS
Overview

Less-than-Truckload (LTL) shipping is notoriously complex — multiple freight classes, density rules, carrier-specific logic, and high-volume quoting workflows often overwhelm users. I led the LTL initiative, a multi-phase effort to transform how shippers and ops teams request and manage rates.

My Role
  • Lead UX Designer driving end-to-end design for Quick Rate, Batch Rating, and Mixed Item Pallet.

  • Partnered with PMs, engineers, and carrier experts to translate backend rating logic into intuitive workflows.

  • Conducted usability testing to uncover pain points and refine designs.

  • Extended the Fleet design system with new components to support advanced LTL workflows.
